Acclaimed classical guitarists David Grimes of Cal State Fullerton and Dr. Gregory Newton performed a program of solos and duets in the Town Museum, Kazanlak, Bulgaria. Later on they visited Kremona factory, that supported the event. Dr. Gregory Newton has given concerts and masterclasses throughout Great Britain, the USA, Canada, South America, the Middle East, Scandinavia, and Western and Eastern Europe. He has several recordings to his credit, including the Los Angeles Chamber Singers’ Romancero Gitano. Dr. Newton is on the faculties of Los Angeles City College, Los Angeles Valley College and Glendale College and is current president of the American Guitar Society. David Grimes has performed extensively throughout North America and Europe, and recent concert tours have taken him to Mexico, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Denmark, France, Malta, Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro. David is the latest Director of Guitar Studies at California State University, Fullerton. David Grimes and Gregory Newton have performed and toured together since 1998.
